SOLAR power could be coming to All Saints School at Wyke Regis.
If agreed panels will be fitted across the length of the roof of the school science block and The Cross building on the Sunnyside Road site – capable of producing 155kW of power.
The application says the panels will be fitted to minimise the effect of the external appearance of the buildings.
The application to Dorset Council is for prior approval, which avoids the full planning process. It is being made in the name of Dorset Community Energy, based in Dorchester.
Comments on the application are open until mid-January.
