Firefighters were called to a car fire in a busy road.
Crews from Weymouth rushed to Abbotsbury Road shortly before 3.35pm.
There had been a "small fire" in the engine of a car which was extinguished before firefighters arrived.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We helped to move the car to a nearby car park because it wasn't going anywhere soon.
"The stop message came in at 3.48pm."
