The body of a woman has been found on the Rodwell Trail in Weymouth.
Dorset Police were called to the scene at just after 12pm yesterday.
The woman's death is not being treated as suspicious.
A number of emergency vehicles, including ambulance services, were seen at the trail this afternoon and two entrances were blocked off to the public.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "At 12.02pm we were called to a report that the body of a woman had been found on the Rodwell Trail, near to Sandsfoot Castle, in Weymouth.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a cordon was put in place at the scene as emergency services attended the incident.
"The woman’s next of kin have been informed."
Police officers have also been seen in Parr Way which is near to the trail.

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at just before 12.15pm and attended with a land ambulance, an operations officer and a rapid response vehicle."
