A MAN in his 60s died in a lay-by at the weekend after suffering a medical episode, police say.
Officers and paramedics were called to the A352 in Sherborne, near the Skippers pub, at 9.45am on Sunday.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services, the casualty couldn't be saved.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "Officers received a report from the ambulance service stating that they were at an incident at a layby on the A352 in Sherborne involving a motorist who had suffered a suspected medical episode.
"Police attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and the family of the man, who was aged in his 60s and from the Yeovil area, has been informed.
"The coroner has also been notified."
