A lifeboat was launched to attend a medical emergency on a yacht off the Purbeck coast.
Weymouth RNLI lifeboat was launched at 1.15 pm on Sunday, July 22, to investigate reports from Solent Coastguard of a medical episode aboard a yacht anchored in Mupe Bay, near Lulworth Cove.
The lifeboat arrived shortly before 2 pm, and two volunteer crew boarded the yacht.
A middle-aged man was found to be recovering from a medical episode.
Noticing the lifeboat, a doctor aboard another yacht also anchored in the bay swam over to offer his assistance, but by this point the casualty was 'feeling much better', according to the RNLI, and no treatment was necessary.
The lifeboat then returned to Weymouth.
Weymouth RNLI coxswain Andy Sargent said: "At the time of the call there was a genuine concern for the man's well-being; luckily it was all resolved and he is now fit and well."
