MAD 4 ANIMALS
AN afternoon of free entertainment will be coming to Brewery Square next month.
Mad4Animals will be coming to the square on Saturday, July 28 from 12pm until 3pm.
Mad4Animals perform fun and educational shows all about animals, their habitats and features hands-on sections as a part of the interactive show.
Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square, said: “We are really looking forward to having the Mad4Animals team at Brewery Square, we’re sure everyone will love the interactive parts of the show as well as learning about lots of different animals.”

ENCORE TO PERFORM
The Encore Singers will be performing their 20th anniversary concert at the United Church on Saturday, June 30 from 7.30pm.
Their repertoire will include show medleys and songs they have sung over the 20 years including a medley from Oliver which they sang at Weymouth Pavilion.
Soloists include Louise Dukes and Hannah McFarlane and the musical director is Julia McFarlane.
This concert will be in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare.

ANNUAL MEETING
The Dorchester Voluntary Sector Transition Group will be holding an annual general meeting on Thursday, July 5.
It will be held at the Dorford Centre on Bridport Road from 9.30am and will be followed by a networking lunch.
The transition group brings together Citizens Advice Dorset, Dorset Community Action and the Volunteer Centre Dorset.
It has been formed in response to new challenges and opportunities for the voluntary sector, resulting from local government reorganisation in the county. Its primary objective is to ensure a seamless transition of the delivery of voluntary services to Dorset residents during the period of local Government reorganisation.

GHOSTLY WALKS
Dorchester's much-loved town crier, Alistair Chisholm, organisers regular ghost walks.
The spooky walks are held every Thursday night from April to October and anyone interested should meet outside The Kings Arms Hotel from 8pm.
Tickets cost £6 for adults and £3 for children.

DAY OF FUN
Brewery Square will be hosting a day of fun to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The day will include board games, lives music and a host more.
Everyone is welcome to pop down to the square between 12pm and 3pm on Saturday. (30)
CHOIR TASTER SESSION
Casterbridge Male Voice Choir will hold a free taster session for anyone interested in joining.
This will take place from 10.45am to 12pm on Saturday, June 30. Those interested are invited to come along and sit in on a rehearsal or join in if they like.
The taster session will take place at United Church on South Street.
NEUTRALS AT WAR
Christopher Massy-Beresford will be giving a talk on 'Neutrals at War' at the Dorford Centre on Bridport Road.
The talk will start at 7.30pm and has been organised by the National Trust South Dorset Association.
The event will be held on Tuesday, July 3.

SUMMER FUNDAY
A popular family event will be returning to Poundbury.
Poundbury's Summer Funday will be held on the Great Field from 12pm until 8pm on Saturday, July 7.
The day has been organised in aid of Dorchester Community Nursery School and there will be something for all the family.
There will be stalls, bouncy castles, rides, food and drink, live music, a football tournament, a dog show and much more.
AVIATION TALK
The Dorset History Centre will be hosting a talk on 'Aviation around Poole Bay'.
Kevin Patience will be giving the talk on Monday, July 9.
Doors will open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

QUARTET PERFORMANCE
The Dorchester Piano Quartet will be performing at the Corn Exchange.
Jenifer Curiel (violin), Pasha Willis (viola), Sally Flann (cello), Peter Oakes (piano) with Elizabeth Drew (clarinet) will be performing from 1pm on Thursday, July 12.
The Dorchester Piano Quartet return for the second of their regular visits to Dorchester Arts.
They will be joined for the first time by Elizabeth Drew, one of the regular members of Kokoro, teh contemporary music ensemble of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

DORSET SINFONIA
The Dorset Sinfonia will be performing at St Mary's Church on Edward Road.

FAMILY FAVOURITES
A number of family favourites will be shown at Maumbury Rings.
Dorchester Open Air Cinema will be returning with free film showings of The Lion King and The Greatest Showman.
The day will start at 3.45pm and end at 7.45pm and everyone is welcome.
It will be held on Saturday, July 21.
