Fire crews were called to extinguish a lorry fire on the A37.
The incident happened north of Grimstone.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at 2.34pm and two crews attended.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: “Crews used one hose reel to extinguish a fire involving the tractor unit of the lorry.”
Emergency services attended the scene and the local authority was made aware of the incident.
Debris was cleared from the road following the incident.
