EXPERIENCE the story of the Emerald Sea – a tale never told in English before.
Shonaleigh Cumbers will be coming to Bridport on Friday, June 16, at 7.30pm. She will be performing The Emerald Sea, at the Story Café at Bridport Unitarian Chapel-in-the-Garden.
The story is the fourth tale in the Gem Cycle of the Drut’syla tradition. It will be one of the first times this tale has been told in English.
Shonaleigh is an oral storyteller with an extraordinary cache of hundreds of tales learned as a child from her grandmother. She is one of the foremost storytellers on the British scene, appearing at venues around the country as well as travelling globally.
Described as a ‘spell-binding teller of ancient tales,’ these stories are just as relevant in this age as when they were first told.
