A BODY was pulled out of the water near Studland on Saturday morning.
A member of the public called the emergency services to say they could see a body in the water near Shell Bay around 7am.
According to an RNLI spokesman the Poole inshore lifeboat worked alongside SwanageCoastguard, police and the ambulance service, to recover a man’s body.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “The body of a man in his 80s was recovered from the water at Shell Bay, Studland.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner has been notified."
