THERE were plenty of ups and downs for an intrepid group of trekkers who took on an ultra-marathon route around Dorset’s Jurassic Coast to raise funds for a local disability charity.
The trekkers raised more than £6,000 for Diverse Abilities, making the blisters, sore feet and tired legs certainly worth it. The trek, led by a qualified leader, started in Weymouth and ended at Studland Bay, with the trekkers travelling 60km over two days.
The route provided some very awe-inspiring sights and the charity said all participants did very well. The money raised by the Jurassic Coast Trek will help the charity to continue supporting adults and children with disabilities across the county, aiming to enable them to achieve their full potential.
