A BLAZING garage brought four fire crews to a business park on Portland after flames spread from a burning van.
Firefighters from Weymouth and Portland rushed to a fire in Southwell Business Park at 5.08pm.
Initial reports were of a burning van, however when they arrived the flames had spread to engulf the garage in which it was kept.
Two crews from Portland and two from Weymouth attended the blaze, as well as two fire officers who came in different vehicles.
They used breathing apparatus, main lines and a hose reel jet to bring it under control.
At aroud 6.30pm, they were able to leave the scene.
The garage was heavily damaged in the blaze.
