Dorset Police received a concern for welfare after Liam Day, 26, failed to return home following a day spent in Purbeck on June 15.
His car was located in Durlston Road near to Durlston Country Park and some climbing equipment has been found a mile west of Anvil Point.

Officers have now confirmed that a body was found this afternoon at St Alban's Head, near Swanage.
Formal identification has not yet taken place but Liam's family have been informed.
