Firefighters extinguish electricity pole fire in Weymouth
FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of electricity poles on fire.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service was alerted this afternoon at 4.27pm.
It received a report that electricity poles were on fire in Mandeville Road, Wyke Regis.
One crew from Weymouth and a landrover from Maiden Newton attended the scene.
Firefighters were unable to put out the fire until the area was made safe by the Southern Electric Board.
Once the area was made safe firefighters extinguished the fire.
