MULTIPLE fire crews attended an overnight blaze at a barn in Sherborne that contained 30 tonnes of hay.
The fire service was called to the property on Checcombe Lane at 00:21 on Monday morning.
One crew from Sherborne and another from Yeovil attended the scene, where a barn containing 30 tonnes of hay was on fire.
They called for assistance from another Sherborne crew and were able to extinguish the fire.
No one was injured and there is no indication as to what might have started the fire.
A spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue said: "We initially sent one of our fire engines from Sherborne and one from Yeovil assisting us.
"They requested a further fire engine, which came from Sherborne, for water.
"They put the fire out.
"Our crews are going to go back at 7am to reinspect and make sure everything is out.
"There were no reports of any injuries."
