FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a barn fire in Moreton.
A crew from Wareham was the first at the scene of the blaze in Church Road, with three other crews from Poole, Dorchester and Weymouth in attendance later on.
The fire started at around 7.20pm last night, Monday July 20, and was extinguished at around 9pm, with crews using three main lines.
Southern Electric were required to isolate power to the property.
Crews remained on the scene to damp down.
There was nothing contained within the barn, and nearby animals were evacuated prior to the arrival of the service.
The cause is believed to be electrical and around 25 per cent of the barn was destroyed by fire.
