There are delays on the on the Relief Road after a smoke was billowing from a car.

The incident is between thee Jurassic Roundabout and the Football ground Roundabout on the A354.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they had been alerted to a car that was smoking on the A354 near to Bincombe Down.

A spokesperson for Dorset fire and Rescue said: "We are currently in attendance to an incident. We were called at 8.59am to a car smoking on the A354 near to Bincombe Down.

"Crews have attended and deemed it a false alarm due to an overheating appliance."

Dorset Police were alerted to the incident and put on standby but have not so far attended.
