THE LINE-UP for the final of Dorset's Got Talent 2015 is almost complete after a high quality semi final.
The second of two semi finals saw a variety of talented acts impress the judges and audience as they took to the stage at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park.
They were treated to a feast of entertainment from musicians, singers, dancers, theatrical performances and a dog dancing act at the fundraising event for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.
The panel of judges were armed with buzzers that they used on several occasions while, like in the first semi final, the audience also had their say.
The top three acts with the most audience votes automatically went through to the live grand final of the Dorset Echo-backed competition on Saturday, March 21.
They were UKES, a group of singers and ukulele players, country singer Emma Rice, who sang an original song, and the Greenford Girls with their theatrical performance from Matilda.
The judges then had their say when they were able to put through a fourth act to the live final.
It went to a majority vote which saw dancer Amelia-Harley Baker secure a place in the final.
They will join singers Carissa Berry, Lillie Cake and Makeda Downes as well as singer and dancer Amelia Smith who went through in the first semi final.
There is still one more twist to come though before the final as the judges have a wild card that they can use to put forward one of the unsuccessful acts from the semi-finals.
The wild card act is to be revealed shortly when the judges have gone through their decision.
Weldmar's fundraising manager Matt Smith was full of praise for the talent that was once again showcased on stage.
He said: "The standard of talent this year has been incredible.
"Over 60 acts auditioned, 20 made it to the Semi Finals and we now have our eight confirmed finalists, of which one will be crowned our 2015 Champion.
"The beauty of this competition is that it does not just give the acts an opportunity to gain experience performing in front of a live audience but also that every penny that is raised from the event will go towards the continuation of care, love and support that Weldmar provides to patients and their loved ones across Dorset.”
Tickets are available now for the grand final at Freshwater on March 21 and cost £10 per person.
Visit weld-hospice.org.uk/talent Matt said: "We can guarantee that the final is going to be amazing.
"The acts will be at their best and there will be a few surprises during the night to make it a fantastic grand final.
"We encourage people to buy tickets for the show, you won’t be disappointed."
