POSTAL services have returned to a West Dorset village.
Buckland Newton Post Office has reopened at a new location in the village hall.
The service will be operated as a hosted outreach service by postmaster at Cerne Abbas Post Office Andrew Farrow.
Mr Farrow previously ran the hosted outreach service in Buckland Newton at the Gaggle of Geese pub but the premises were withdrawn from Post Office use after the venue closed in June this year.
The new service at Buckland Newton Village Hall will be provided from 9am to 12noon on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
Field change advisor for the Post Office Matt Walls said: “I am confident the new service is suitably located and will meet the needs of our customers in the local community, securing Post Office services in Buckland Newton for the future.”
