SEASONAL sorters are wanted by Royal Mail in Dorset to help with the Christmas post.
Royal Mail has launched a recruitment drive to take on around 150 people in Dorset to help sort the festive mail and support the permanent staff.
Temporary positions across a variety of shifts will be available between mid-November and early January 2015. The recruits will help sort cards and parcels before they go to delivery offices for postmen and women to take out on their rounds.
“Christmas is the busiest time of the year for Royal Mail and we plan all year round to help ensure we deliver the best possible service,” said operations director Geoff Braden.
“Every Christmas, we make a substantial financial commitment in additional resources to handle the festive mailbag, including the recruitment of temporary workers.”
A dedicated website has been set up for people to apply for positions at royalmailgroup.com/xmasjobs.
