POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a tractor was stolen in West Dorset.
The vintage tractor, a blue Fordson Super Dexta with white wheels, was taken from a property just off Crooked Oak Hill in Melplash.
Police constable Lee Turner, of Weymouth Police, said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this theft or may have information about those involved to come forward.
"The tractor was drivable but it is likely to have been loaded onto another vehicle or towed away.
"I would also appeal to anyone who may have seen anyone acting strangely in the area overnight or saw any suspicious vehicles."
No arrests have been made and the incident happened overnight on Monday, August 5.
Anyone with information is urged to call Dorset Police on 101.
