A TASTE of the Orient has arrived in Dorchester with the opening of Japanese restaurant Wagamama at Brewery Square.
The 96-cover restaurant, which also has additional outdoor seating for 24 diners, opened its doors yesterday and has created 30 new jobs in the county town.
General manager Jo Groves said the chain was delighted to be bringing its cuisine to the £100million town centre development, which now boasts an Odeon cinema and Premier Inn hotel as well as a variety of restaurants.
She said: “We are very excited to open our newest Wagamama restaurant in Brewery Square, particularly as the opening has been anticipated for over a year now.
“We hope to welcome a variety of cinema goers, hotel guests and residents as they soak up the atmosphere of the amazing new development and enjoy our Japanese-themed dishes.”
Wagamama has over 90 restaurants in the United Kingdom as well as eateries in 16 different countries.
