THE eldest child of Lucian Freud is to give a talk on her father's paintings at Bridport Arts Centre next week.
The painter was widely considered the pre-eminent British artist of his time.
His eldest child Annie Freud will be giving an illustrated talk on six of his paintings on Wednesday, September 23.
Annie Freud, who grew up in London in glamorous Bohemian circle, is a lively and insightful speaker.
She will offer the audience a close-up view of her father's methods, interests and beliefs and a wealth of anecdotes behind these works.
Annie is a celebrated figure in the poetry world. She is the author of several awarded collections of poetry and was named by the Poetry Book Society as a Next Generation Poet 2014.
Megan Dunford, Exhibitions Officer at Bridport Arts centre said: “It is an honour to have Annie on the Arts Centre stage and we look forward to her insights into her father’s astonishing work."
